An affordable Century Communities community in the Buda area, off the SH-45 toll and just 19 miles from downtown Austin. New homes start around $249,990, and what really stands out is what comes standard: smart-home tech, stainless appliances, and 42-inch cabinets, plus a low HOA. Here is the honest local rundown, what it costs, and who it fits. 175+ closings since 2016.
Stallion Run is an affordable new-construction community in the Buda area, just outside town in the Creedmoor pocket off the SH-45 toll, built by Century Communities. New homes start around $249,990, and resale starts around $265,000. You are just 19 miles from downtown Austin, with an HEB, Walmart, and plenty of shopping close by. The real standout is what comes standard in these homes: smart-home technology, stainless appliances, and upgraded cabinets. It is served by Del Valle ISD, and the one number to check going in is the tax rate.

Stallion Run is built by Century Communities, a dependable builder in the mid tier on my builder list and a reasonable value choice. Century offers two collections here, The Meadows and The Glenn, with eight floor plans each, for 16 options in all. A good example is the Page, a 2,335-square-foot plan with the primary bedroom downstairs, two bedrooms up, and two and a half baths, and you can turn the office or flex space into a fourth bedroom. Several plans let you choose a walk-in shower or garden tub in the primary bath and add or extend a covered patio, so you can fit the home to how you live.
For an affordable community, the included features here are a genuine plus:
Getting these as standard, rather than as pricey upgrades, is part of what makes Stallion Run a smart value.
I will be straight with you: the tax rate at Stallion Run runs around 2.87%, which is on the higher side and common in newer communities that carry a district tax. The good news is the HOA is low at $350 a year, about $29 a month. Still, that tax rate will add to your monthly payment, so know the number going in. Always confirm the certified rate for your specific lot, my MUD and PID guide shows how, and I will run your real monthly cost so there are no surprises.
Stallion Run is served by Del Valle ISD, with children attending Creedmoor Elementary, Ojeda Middle School, and Del Valle High School. Location is a real convenience: you are just outside Buda off the SH-45 toll with easy access to SH-130 and I-35, about 19 miles from downtown Austin, near an HEB, Walmart, shopping, and dining. The area is growing, with more development on the way nearby. For the wider picture, see my Buda relocation guide and the Buda new construction guide. Confirm the exact campus zoning for your specific lot before you offer, since assignments can shift.
Century runs incentives here, like rate buydowns and closing-cost help, and they usually have a handful of inventory homes ready to go. The specifics change often and are tied to particular homes and timelines, so what matters is how a given incentive changes your actual monthly payment, not the flashiest number on the flyer. Reach out before you visit on your own and I will tell you what is current and run the payment scenarios for your budget. Contact me or call (512) 487-9242.

New construction is most of what I do, with 175+ closings since 2016 across South Austin, Buda, Kyle, Bastrop, and the growing communities just outside them. I have toured Stallion Run firsthand, so I will help you pick the collection and floor plan that fit you, run the real payment scenarios including that tax rate and any incentives, and stand in your corner at the model, which costs you nothing because the builder pays your agent.
