Sage Hollow is a new-construction community in Kyle, about 22 miles south of Austin, built by Milestone Community Builders. New homes start around $324,990, and Milestone offers 24 floor plans across three lot series, so there is real range. The draw is the setting and the schools: a community pool, 7 acres of open space with walking paths, and a highly rated elementary school. It is a strong fit for a family that wants new construction, amenities, and good schools. The one number to check going in is the tax rate, which is on the higher side.
Tour the Waverly model and the community with me. This walk-through is from 2023, so treat the pricing below as current, not the numbers in the video:
Sage Hollow is built by Milestone Community Builders, a local Central Texas builder that sits in the mid tier on my builder list, and one I have seen active in communities like Persimmon in Buda. Milestone offers 24 floor plans here across three lot series: the Indigo series on 40-foot lots, the Cobalt series on 50-foot lots, and the Sapphire series on 60-foot lots. Homes range from about 1,416 square feet up to 3,843 square feet, so there is a fit from a smaller starter to a large family home. A great example is the Waverly, a 2,669-square-foot plan with three bedrooms and two and a half baths, and a big plus in my book, the primary bedroom is on the first floor.
Sage Hollow gives you more than just a house:
You are also minutes from the Kyle Public Library, several parks, Plum Creek Golf Course, Costco, and Kyle Marketplace, so there is plenty to do close by.
I will be straight with you: the tax rate at Sage Hollow runs around 3%, which is on the higher side, and the HOA is $115 a month. That is common in newer Kyle communities that carry a district tax, and it does raise your monthly payment, so you want to know the number going in. Always confirm the certified rate for your specific lot, my MUD and PID guide shows how, and I will run your real monthly cost including taxes and the HOA so there are no surprises.
Sage Hollow is served by Hays CISD, with children attending the highly rated Negley Elementary, Barton Middle School, and Jack C. Hays High School. Location is a plus: you are about 22 miles south of Austin, near downtown Kyle and Plum Creek Golf Course, with easy access to shopping and dining. For the wider picture, see my Kyle relocation guide and the Kyle new construction guide, and if you like the Kyle new-build scene, compare it with Crosswinds. Confirm the exact campus zoning for your specific lot before you offer, since assignments can shift.
Milestone runs incentives here, like rate buydowns and closing-cost help, and they change often and are tied to specific homes and timelines. What matters is how a given incentive changes your actual monthly payment, not the flashiest number on the flyer. Reach out before you visit on your own and I will tell you what is current and run the payment scenarios for your budget. Contact me or call (512) 487-9242.

Kyle is one of my core markets, and new construction is most of what I do, with 175+ closings since 2016 across South Austin, Buda, Kyle, and Bastrop. I have toured Sage Hollow firsthand, so I will help you pick the series and floor plan that fit you, run the real payment scenarios including that higher tax rate and any incentives, and stand in your corner at the model, which costs you nothing because the builder pays your agent.
